Narina Jones, 17, grew up in Oakland, Calif. and attends University of California, Merced. She enjoys doing community service and is a Global Girl Media intern where she produced a short film and blogged with her peers.
Narina Jones credits her street savviness to helping her become the first in her family to go to college. “I managed to survive the crime and gangs by limiting my trust for all people,” she writes.
